The role of an Experienced Thermal CFD Engineer - R&D within the Global Multi-Physics Simulation (GLOMUS) network team offers you an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in the areas of electrical, structural, acoustic, thermo-mechanic, and fluid-dynamics analyses. By collaborating with a team of skilled professionals across Technology Centers and Research Centers globally, you will play a crucial role in driving innovative development projects for the Product Group Transformers, Insulation, and Components. Your responsibilities will involve developing new technologies, enhancing existing products, and providing support to engineering offices worldwide. In this role, you will be expected to create and enhance analytical tools and finite element methodologies for thermo-fluid dynamic analysis. You will actively participate in the design process, from concept creation to production, by suggesting innovative ideas and prototypes. Additionally, you will contribute to new product development projects with a primary focus on thermal design and conducting thermo-fluid dynamic simulations. Your expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), thermal casting processes, temperature rise tests, and familiarity with international standards will be instrumental in delivering sophisticated thermal solutions. To excel in this role, proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab, Mathcad, and Python is essential for developing custom simulations and analyzing data. Your intrinsic motivation, eagerness to explore new technologies, and adeptness in simulation methodologies will be key assets. The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team environment to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes is imperative. Familiarity with high voltage products and proficiency in numerical methods for thermodynamic simulations, along with experience in software such as ANSYS CFX/FLUENT, COMSOL, and StarCCM+, is preferred.
