Role Overview The Senior Business Analyst will act as a strategic bridge between business and IT , responsible for end-to-end requirements management, business process analysis, and re-engineering across banking transformation initiatives. The role focuses on analyzing existing operational processes, identifying inefficiencies, designing future-state solutions, and translating complex business needs into clear, structured, and implementable functional specifications to support successful project delivery and digital transformation. Key Responsibilities 1. Requirements Definition & Documentation Lead stakeholder workshops, interviews, and working sessions to gather business needs, pain points, and gaps. Develop high-quality documentation including: Business Requirements Documents (BRD) Functional Specification Documents (FSD) Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) Define business rules, workflows, data fields, validations, and non-functional requirements. Support project scope definition, success metrics, and formal acceptance criteria. 2. Process Analysis & Process Re-Engineering Conduct As-Is process analysis to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. Perform gap analysis between current and target states, identifying risks, dependencies, and integration impacts. Design To-Be processes aligned with business strategy, regulatory needs, and digital transformation goals. Recommend process optimization, automation, and digital solutions. 3. Solution Design & IT Alignment Collaborate with IT architects, developers, and product owners to ensure feasibility and optimal solution design. Support solution discussions related to core banking systems, workflows, and integrations . Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation. 4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Act as the primary liaison between business units, IT, operations, risk, compliance, and external teams. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure requirements clarity and sign-off. Provide regular status updates, progress reports, risks, and insights to leadership. 5. Governance, Compliance & Change Management Ensure adherence to change review forums and governance frameworks . Maintain full version control, audit trails, and documentation standards. Explicitly capture regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements within all documentation. Support organizational change management and stakeholder communications. 6. Agile Project Delivery Support Participate actively in: Sprint planning Backlog grooming Refinement and clarification sessions Maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure all approved requirements are implemented. Support change requests, impact analysis, and scope control. 7. Knowledge Transfer & Capability Building Transfer business analysis and process re-engineering knowledge to internal teams. Support development of best practices, templates, playbooks, and frameworks to foster long-term self-sufficiency. Required Skills & Competencies Domain & Industry Experience Strong experience in Banking domain (Retail, Corporate, Operations, Risk, Credit, Compliance). Deep understanding of banking processes and regulatory environments . Technical & Functional Knowledge Familiarity with core banking systems and workflow platforms (IBM / Oracle ecosystems preferred). Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and end-to-end system flows (non-technical perspective). Exposure to AI, process automation, and optimization initiatives . Business Analysis Expertise Proven experience in: Requirements elicitation techniques (interviews, workshops, surveys) Process modeling and re-engineering Gap analysis and solution design Tools & Documentation Hands-on experience with: JIRA, Azure DevOps MS Visio, Miro MS Office Suite Strong documentation and visualization skills. Communication & Stakeholder Management Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to challenge requirements constructively and logically. Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field. 8-12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking / financial services. Prior experience in large-scale transformation or digital banking projects preferred. Engagement Expectations Contract duration: 6 months (extendable) No access to production systems; data provided strictly via authorized channels. All deliverables, documents, templates, and frameworks remain the client. Strict adherence to confidentiality and NDA requirements .
