Job Title: Sales Executive Department: Sales & Marketing Location: Ernakulam Reporting To: Sales Manager / Director 1. Role Summary The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth in the assigned territory, building strong relationships with retail partners/distributors, and ensuring effective visibility of our products in the market. This role involves regular market visits, new outlet acquisition, and achieving monthly sales and collection targets. 2. Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Generation Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory. Generate new business by adding retail outlets, wholesalers, and distributors. Upsell and cross-sell the full product range to existing customers. Market Visits & Coverage Visit outlets as per beat plan/route plan and ensure adequate coverage. Take orders, follow up for repeat orders, and ensure product availability. Ensure proper stock rotation at outlet level (FIFO) to minimize expiries and damages. Distributor & Retailer Management Coordinate with distributors for timely supply of goods to retailers. Ensure adequate distributor stock levels as per sales trend. Follow up on payments and collections as per company credit policy. Merchandising & Visibility Ensure products are displayed as per company guidelines (shelf space, racks, POSM, etc.). Execute in-store promotions, offers, and sampling activities when required. Report competitor activities, pricing, and schemes from the market. Reporting & Documentation Maintain daily visit reports (DVR), order details, and collection reports. Share sales forecasts, primary/secondary sales data, and market feedback. Support in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and basic MIS as required. Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with retailers, distributors, and key accounts. Handle and resolve retailer/distributor complaints in coordination with the internal team. Educate customers about new products, schemes, and product benefits. 3. Qualifications & Experience Education: Graduate in any discipline (preferred: BBA, B.Com, MBA/PGDM in Marketing will be an added advantage). Experience: 0–2 years of experience in field sales. Experience in FMCG / Food & Beverages industry preferred (snacks, groceries, beverages, or similar). Freshers with strong passion for sales and good communication skills may also be considered. 4. Key Skills & Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Negotiation and convincing ability. Basic understanding of FMCG distribution (retail, wholesale, distributors, modern trade – as applicable). Target-oriented with a strong drive for results. Ability to plan and prioritize daily market visits. Basic computer skills (MS Excel, WhatsApp, email reporting, sales apps). Fluency in Malayalam and basic English/Hindi. Two-wheeler with valid driving licence required. 5. Personal Attributes Self-motivated and proactive. Discipline in reporting and field work. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a small, growing team. 6. Compensation & Benefits Salary: ₹15000 to ₹18000 per month(based on experience).
