Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable High School Social Studies Teacher to inspire and educate students in subjects such as history, geography, political science, economics, and sociology. The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, civic engagement, and an appreciation for global and historical perspectives while creating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Instruction & Curriculum Development Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum standards. Utilize various instructional strategies, including discussions, debates, project-based learning, and technology integration. Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and projects. Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning. Classroom Management & Student Engagement Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment. Establish clear expectations for student behavior and academic performance. Foster a culture of discussion, collaboration, and civic awareness. Address student concerns and provide academic support as needed. Professional Development & Collaboration Stay updated with current events, historical research, and educational best practices. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities. Participate in school meetings, workshops, and professional development programs. Extracurricular & Community Engagement Support school initiatives, student clubs, and extracurricular activities related to social studies. Promote civic engagement through service-learning projects and community involvement. Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and stakeholders regarding student progress. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelorās degree (or higher) in History, Political Science, Geography, Education, or a related field. Certification: B.Ed./M.Ed. as required by local regulations. Experience: Prior teaching experience in CBSE preferred. Skills: Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to integrate technology into instruction. Passion for teaching and student development. Knowledge of diverse cultures, global issues, and historical perspectives.
