We’re looking for our next Lead Marine Personnel Officer Cover all aspects of Marine HR specific day-to-day operations to seafarers, including assisting in the supervision of the operational requirements of MPO. Also assists in the preparation and monitoring of employee relations, disciplinary matters, training, document compliance and budgeting. Some of the things you’ll be doing Hold safety and environmental protection as a value. Support ship team to operate the best ships in the industry. Ensure RSC license is always valid and maintained. Oversee any operational needs and efficient crew change. Coordinate with Regional Service Centers for Officers & Crew joining and sign off with compliant documentation. Scheduling of Officers and ratings of the RSC and follow ups as required ensuring full compliance to company policies and procedures including and not limited to: Officer matrix compliance. Staggering the relief of officers. The company required and vessel specific training courses. Assist and liaise with shore team for crew medical case and follow up. Participate in the Fleet Emergency response team, as required. Assist in preparation of Manpower Report and Retention report. Liaise to close out Officers performance issues with the Manager Fleet Personnel. Recommend to Manager Marine HR (Officers) potential candidates for promotion. Assist as required to arrange the venue / agenda for Senior Officer Conferences, in coordination with Director Marine HR. Attend special projects as may be assigned by Manager, Marine HR. Attend Fleet Team meetings / risk review meetings, if required. Assist in the preparation of Marine HR Budget. Responsible for ensuring the service awards program, will be distributed in time for the RSC. Review and assist in Industrial Relations (ITF, IMEC, CBA, Local Unions, Associations) and work closely with various bodies and vendors. Responsible for arranging audits of local vendors of MHR. Responsible for audits (internal and external) and closing out them. What we are looking for Diploma in Maritime/Business Administration/Human Resource with experience in Marine HR work; more than 5 years of relevant experience is preferred. Extensive experience of the vessel types managed by team. Analytical, problem solving, time management, project management and decision-making skills. Ability to respond positively to customers in an effective manner. Demonstrate teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of commercial and technical management. General management skills with the ability to lead a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing environment. Some of the things you’ll be doing Ensure up-to-date records keeping and maintenance of Crew Management System. Support initiatives, ad-hoc projects, and other projects of the department, as assigned. Co-ordinating with scheduled Seafarers for joining with pre-joining documents before the commencement of travel and ensure system is updated with the same including joining documents Co-ordination with seafarers and apply for Flag state documents as required. Co-ordinate with seafarers in uploading/updating the missing documents and Availability / Readiness for joining vessel in COMPAS Arranging Crew Briefing / Debriefing and Co-ordinate for SOS as and when required. Co-ordinating with MPO, joiner & local Visa agent to apply the required visas (where required prior travel) Check documents validity, Status and conditions of the documents of Seafarers after Sign Off from vessel and inform the seafarers accordingly. Prepare Miscellaneous letters for Seafarers when required (Sea service, Employment, NOC, US Visa and Other required letters) Generating the E-Migration for all Indian Seafarers as per RPSL requirements and Updating the S/On and S/Off data on DGS Website. Assist and monitor MCV for all Seafarers and embarking families as assigned. Maintain records of Seafarers Long Service Awards (LSA) & distribution. Maintain the Priority Pass data of Indian Seafarers, send activation codes with process to Seafarers. Ship Money registration for all seafarers. Assist in arranging PEME for Seafarers prior joining. Assist Marine HR Team during the Internal & External Audits. Assist & support the MPOs as per requirements, Act as a backup under the guidance of other MPOs.
