Job Description

As a Staff Guidewire PolicyCenter Support Engineer at EY, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting solutions within the Guidewire Policy Centre module. Your role involves participating in maintenance and support activities to resolve production issues. Collaboration with business analysts, project managers, and other developers is essential to ensure that our policy administration systems are efficient, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. Your main responsibilities will include Guidewire PolicyCenter Support and Maintenance, designing, building, supporting, and performing defect fixes. Root Cause Analysis and providing solutions. Designing, configuring, and supporting rating logic within Guidewire PolicyCenter, including developing rating worksheets, rate tables, and implementing business rules to support complex rating requirements. You will also be involved in enhancements, code changes, proactive monitoring, and managing Guidewire PC Configuration & Integration. To excel in this role, you should have a deep understanding of the Guidewire framework Policy Centre, implementation, architecture, and components. It is essential to possess Guidewire PolicyCenter 9.0 version + technical/functional/cloud certification. Experience in designing, configuring, and supporting rating logic within Guidewire PolicyCenter, as well as hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, web services, API integration, and production support activities like queue management, plug-in related issues, and batch file generations are crucial. Proficiency in tools like Service-now, JIRA, soap-ui, eclipse IDE, SVN, Jenkins, service management, change management activities, SLAs, estimator tools, incident management, problem management, and SDLC life cycle is required. Working knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, XML, Web Services (SOAP/REST), ANT, SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Castor, any Enterprise Messaging System, and Tomcat/WebSphere/WebLogic is essential. Being flexible to work in shifts (Rotational Shift India Shift, US Shift) and On-Call Support on a rostered rotational basis is mandatory.
