Prepare detailed fabrication drawings , GA drawings , sectional views , and Bill of Materials (BOM) . Design and layout of busbar chambers , supports, and ducting considering current rating, thermal limits, clearances, and mechanical strength. Ensure busbar design meets short circuit and thermal withstand requirements; coordinate with electrical teams for sizing and layout. Select and position cutouts for switchgear components such as breakers, relays, meters, and control devices. Apply standards such as IS/IEC/IEEE in the design of mechanical and busbar systems. Optimize design for ease of manufacturing , cost-efficiency , and assembly line compatibility . Conduct design validation , risk assessments , and manage design change requests (DCRs) .
