Key Skills & Responsibilities

Finance Domain & Business Analysis
-
Strong understanding of Financial Accounting, Management Reporting, and end-to-end Finance processes.
-
Experience working with Finance SMEs and Operations teams to understand business requirements, data flows, mappings, allocations, and reporting calculations.
-
Ability to define, document, and validate business rules, transformation logic, and functional requirements.
-
Experience in requirements gathering, impact analysis, and stakeholder management.

Data Analysis & Technical Skills
-
Strong hands-on SQL and PL/SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
-
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery, for data analysis and validation.
-
Experience with source-to-target mappings, data transformation, data quality checks, and root-cause analysis.
-
Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and legacy-to-cloud data migration.
-
Python knowledge would be an added advantage.

UAT & Functional Validation
-
Hands-on experience in preparing UAT test scenarios, test cases, and expected results.
-
Ability to independently execute UAT and validate business rules, mappings, allocations, and financial reporting calculations.

Experience in data reconciliation, defect identification, tracking, retesting, and coordination with Technology and Fin Ops teams.

Ability to support UAT sign-off and ensure business requirements are met.

Banking Experience, Agile & Delivery Expectations
-
Prior HSBC Finance systems/FCD experience would be preferred; relevant Finance transformation experience in other global banks can also be considered.

Understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum framework, sprint planning, backlog management, user story creation, acceptance criteria, and participation in Agile ceremonies.

Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver requirements within sprint timelines.

Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
-
Must be hands-on, proactive, adaptable, and capable of independently managing multiple deliverables with minimal supervision.
