Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Lead who is not only an exceptional coder but also adept at high-level design and implementation. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of collaborative development experience, with a proven track record of leading an 8–10-person team. This role involves debugging, performance design and optimization, and working on containerized solutions using Docker. Experience with FastAPI, Python, and React front-end is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor an 8-10 person engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Own the architecture across UI, APIs, data, and cloud infrastructure — scalable, secure, resilient, observable
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code in Python and React.
- Set and enforce engineering standards: design reviews, ADRs, code review expectations, testing strategy, release readiness. Oversee the development and deployment of containerized solutions using Docker.
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Partner with Product Management and UX as a peer — challenge the “what,” not just deliver the “how.”
- Drive end-to-end execution: design, build, test, deploy, and run in production.
- Be accountable for how the product handles consumer data: privacy, retention, access, and compliance obligations including India’s DPDP Act.
- Communicate status, risk, and bad news early and clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Proven experience in leading and managing an engineering team.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with FastAPI.
- Solid experience with React for front-end development.
- Expertise in high-level design, implementation, and performance optimization.
- Authentication and authorization (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, SSO, RBAC, least privilege), secure coding, and threat modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized solutions.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and relational data modeling.
- Experience building and deploying applications on GCP; working knowledge of Azure or AWS.
- Experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
- Working knowledge of quality gates and enforcing code quality standards in the delivery pipeline.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Experience and Leadership
- 10+ years of end-to-end software development experience, including system design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- At least 2 years of demonstrated people management experience leading medium to large enterprise teams within a product-based organization is mandatory.
- Experience leading full-stack engineers with strong expertise across backend services and frontend web applications.
- Proven ability to independently drive end-to-end project execution, taking ownership of design, development, cross-team coordination, and delivery in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary development environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with globally distributed and diverse teams.
- Proven ability to collaborate with business and delivery teams, mentor engineers, and drive technical decisions from concept through production.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.
Architecture and Full-Stack Engineering
- Proven ability to design scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performance applications across user interfaces, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with FastAPI are required for backend development.
- Experience with microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful services using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with REST APIs, PostgreSQL, data modeling, and enterprise system integration patterns.
- Experience with NoSQL data stores such as DynamoDB and relational data stores such as MySQL and Oracle.
- Experience defining technical standards, conducting design reviews, evaluating technology choices, and ensuring adherence to engineering best practices.
Security, Cloud, and Engineering Excellence
- Deep knowledge of security engineering and authentication and authorization frameworks, protocols, and design patterns, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, single sign-on (SSO), role-based access control (RBAC), and least-privilege access.
- Strong understanding of application security, threat modeling, secure coding, vulnerability management, observability, and performance optimization.
- Experience working in distributed, cloud-based environments such as AWS services, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Google Compute Engine (GCE), and Azure.
- Hands-on knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins and engineering hygiene practices, including GitHub workflows, branching strategies, pull request reviews, code quality, collaboration, and release readiness.
- Experience with test automation and integration testing using frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, and Playwright.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and tracing tools such as New Relic, Splunk, SignalFx, Kibana, and Grafana.
AI-Enabled Development and Delivery
- , to accelerate development and learning.
- Experience delivering generative AI–based solutions or projects.
Additional Skills and Project Experience
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
Education
BE/B.Tech/MS/M.Tech degree or equivalent from accredited university
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.

Shift Timings
11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST as per business requirements
