Job Description

Role Overview: As a member of the IIOT BU team at Cisco, you will be responsible for the design and development of Control Plane and Data Plane software for Cisco's Networking and Network Security Platforms. Your work will directly impact the security and performance of Cisco's global infrastructure, leading to the transformation of industrial operations through the development of Industrial IOT switching, Routing, and Wireless products. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop Control Plane and Data Plane software for Cisco Networking products and Network Security Platforms/Solutions based on AI and AI assist technologies. - Analyze requirements and problem statements to formulate appropriate software designs and solutions, including writing detailed Design documents and Functional Specifications. - Code and Unit Test Software components and modules, demonstrating strong open system testing and automation skills. - Work with various identity security methods such as WebAuth and Dot1X. - Attend to customer issues for IIoT or Wireless deployments, analyzing problems to root cause issues and implementing effective solutions. - Collaborate with local and remote teams to review Product Requirements Documents, SW Functional and Design Specifications, and Unit and Integration test plans. Review test strategies and plans for Functional and System Test teams. - Innovate and contribute new ideas that can lead to filing patents and creating intellectual property value for the company. Qualifications Required: - 11 - 15 years of work experience in real-time embedded systems development. - Work experience with control plane software or data plane software, data structures, Linux/RTOS/Networking OS internals, OR hands-on wireless knowledge on 802.11/ac/ax/be standards. - Work experience on software development of Network Security protocols (PKI, MacSec, IPSec, OpenSSL, Cryptography, TLS) and experience with Federal Certifications of Network products. - Proficiency in writing high-quality code in C. - Experience with IoT, L2 & L3 / Platform and Network Security.
