Technical Lead Commerce Platform (Node.js)

This position is on-site, located in the new office at the OMR Millenia Tower, Chennai. CobbleWeb, a prominent player in online marketplace development, is seeking an exceptional technical lead for the multi-vendor commerce platform ShareWise. ShareWise, a React/Node-based library of modular components, offers a plug-and-play approach to constructing high-growth marketplaces. Its component-based structure and open-source license ensure high customizability and scalability, distinguishing it from template-based ecommerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce, CS-Cart, or Shopify. As a leader, you will provide robust technical guidance, resolve bottlenecks, and oversee the technical quality of deliverables. Your expertise in software development should encompass applying appropriate software engineering practices, continuous improvements to reduce technical debt, and agile adaptation to evolving business goals and challenges. Additionally, you should possess strong system design skills, a deep understanding of platform and modular architecture, advanced collaborative abilities with internal and external stakeholders, and a track record of creating modular frameworks with high adoption rates. Key Responsibilities: - Design technical solutions aligned with the application's business model and use cases. - Establish and refine a technical vision in sync with product goals. - Foster a collaborative team feedback culture for optimal outcomes. - Ensure team alignment with technical vision and decisions for efficiency. - Lead technical documentation planning and maintenance. - Develop a high-performance, scalable, and maintainable platform through proper technical architecture, data model, and framework choices. - Drive Agile methodologies for exceptional results. - Uphold quality control to enhance user satisfaction, code quality, and product excellence. Job Requirements: - Demonstrated application of design thinking to platform architecture. - 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience in building successful frameworks or developer-facing platforms. - 5+ years of advanced software engineering experience in any competitive product vertical. - 3+ years in an Agile environment utilizing various methodologies. - 2+ years of software development leadership experience. - Exposure to commerce platform development, particularly online marketplaces, is recommended. Engineering Skills: - Proficiency in NodeJS, various NodeJS frameworks, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ReactJS, REST APIs, GraphQL. - Experience with Docker/Terraform, test automation, and integration of third-party applications is a plus.
