Technical Architect

As a Technical Architect at Tavant Technologies, you will play a key role in designing and implementing data governance solutions using Microsoft Purview. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the architecture and design of data governance solutions with Microsoft Purview. - Collaborating with data engineering, data science, and business teams to define data governance policies and standards. - Implementing and managing data classification, lineage, and cataloging processes in Microsoft Purview. - Developing strategies for data quality, data security, and compliance with regulations like GDPR and CCPA. - Conducting training sessions and workshops to educate teams on data governance best practices and the use of Microsoft Purview tools. - Monitoring and optimizing the performance of data governance solutions to meet the organization's needs. - Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. Qualifications required for this role include: - Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Purview. - Strong knowledge of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices. - Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts. - Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. - Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. - Knowledge of cloud architecture and data architecture principles. - Experience with ETL tools and data transformation processes is a plus.
