Tax Analyst

We are building our finance organization in Bangalore and are looking for a Tax Analyst to join our team. This position will report directly to our Indirect Tax Manager and will work closely with leadership in Dublin and San Francisco, as well as team members in Bangalore. As a Tax Analyst, your responsibilities will include assisting with the compliance process for a remit of global group companies, working closely with senior tax analysts and the global tax team. You will conduct ongoing analysis of tax compliance, including research and documentation of indirect tax law developments. It is essential to develop knowledge of VAT principles and US indirect tax laws applicable to the business, as well as gain in-depth knowledge of tools and applications supporting the VAT/Sales Tax process. Striving to add value to current processes through automation and simplification is a key aspect of the role. Additionally, you will assist with tax planning initiatives, tax audits, and tax technology projects, perform customer and vendor invoice compliance reviews, follow up on corrections, and carry out tax account reconciliations while identifying any required journal adjustments. To qualify for this position, you should have 1-2 years of relevant practice and/or industry experience with a focus on international indirect tax compliance. Experience in VAT and/or Sales Tax, with a keen interest in international taxes including LATAM, APAC, and emerging taxes such as Digital Services Taxes, is preferred. While experience with SAP, Vertex, and Alteryx is a significant plus, it is not required.
