Purpose & Scope of Position Working Engineer (WE) will be part of an engineering team providing engineering services to large and small projects. WE is responsible for engineering in a 3D environment and production of 3D models and 2D drawings in accordance with project requirements under the supervision of the Project Engineer (PE). WE is required to apply specialized and/or advanced engineering principles at conceptual and detailed level. The WE participates in a wide range of projects and the activities include modeling and drafting for detailed engineering phase for multi-disciplinary projects. Experience • 1-4 years of experience in relevant design discipline • Experience in engineering packages Qualification • Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline Key Responsibilities 1. Assist the PE with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, quantities, quality, cost and schedule 2. Responsible to work in an integrated 3D environment and produce design calculations, reports, specifications, evaluation reports, technical recommendations and, 3D models and 2D drawings as per project requirements 3. Produce and maintain technical and engineering deliverables using 2D and 3D engineering software as required 4. Facilitate the sharing of technical expertise across projects including archival of project documents. 5. Provide and/or participate in training for resources assigned to the project 6. Perform conceptual layout work 7. Develop design details, prepare / extract drawings and check the deliverables prior to release 8. Ensure coordination with engineers within the discipline and with other disciplines 9. Co-ordinate and review clash detection in an integrated model with other discipline engineers and resolve issues if any 10. Participate in formal engineering review processes 11. Review vendor drawings and documents including archival and inputs to other disciplines 12. Represents the discipline during site visit / client meetings as felt necessary by PE/PM. 13. Support technology team/ Project team for development and automation works as required. Purpose & Scope of Position The Project Engineer (PE) will be part of an engineering stream providing engineering services to large and small projects. The PE provides support to the Project Manager (PM) and Engineering Manager (EM) and is responsible for supervising a team of working engineer and designers. The PE provides leadership and assists in the resolution of all technical issues related to the discipline. Experience • 10+ years of experience in relevant design discipline • Experience in engineering and package coordination Qualification • Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline • Registration as a professional engineer with the governing authority (preferable) Key Responsibilities 1. Assist the PM and EM with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, quantities, cost and schedule 2. Prepare Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) in consultation with the Engineering Manager 3. Assist in the compilation and delivery of monthly engineering status reports 4. Participate in and contribute to design reviews 5. Represent the discipline in the project engineering coordination meetings 6. Prepare and/or review project procedures, standard specifications and design criteria 7. Review and evaluate technical work prepared by junior engineers, intermediate engineers, designers, technicians and technologists 8. Ensure relevant technical experts are involved in the design process as required and facilitate the sharing of technical expertise across projects 9. Perform conceptual and detailed engineering design 10. Prepare engineering work (calculations, reports, specifications, evaluations, recommendations etc.) where required 11. Provide and/or coordinate training for resources assigned to the project 12. Work to ensure the implementation of safety in design 13. Ensures measurement of progress on all contracts for reporting and progress claim purposes. 14. Responsible to ensure timely availability of discipline data to other disciplines, and work with fellow PEs and EM on integration of the same and resolution of any issues and challenges 15. Document value additions and best practices and ensure communication of the same to fellow project engineers of other projects and discipline leadership 16. Support technology team/ Project team for development and automation works as required. 17. Ensure compliance to all quality and document management processes within TCE and as agreed with customer. 18. Manage performance data of reportees and provide periodic feedback. 19. Provides resource loading forecast to TL. 20. Keeps records of learning’s during the project and provides inputs to PM during job closure report. 21. Prepare technical specifications/ bid evaluation/ technical recommendation where required 22. Interact with the discipline engineers of customer during entire life cycle of the project and beyond. Purpose & Scope of Position Engineering Manager (EM) is responsible for engineering and design matters on the project and assists the project manager. An EM will fill 3 main roles during the execution of a project. These are Manager, Technical Leader and Communicator. The EM on a project is responsible for scope definition and manages the planning, resourcing and scheduling all the engineering related activities. In addition, the EM provides technical leadership, integrates the disciplines and resolves issues. The EM is responsible for delivery of all the technical deliverables to achieve the project objectives within the specified time frame and budget. Experience • Typically 15 years & above of experience in a multi-disciplinary environment on major projects Design and procurement activities related to electrical systems / equipment. Sizing calculations for all major electrical equipment or systems. Preparation of RFQs for major electrical packages Vendor print review for all electrical equipment or systems along with cable schedules & interconnection wiring diagrams Exposure on Layouts such as General Arrangement drawings, Cable & conduit drawings, Earthing & Lightning Protection drawings, Lighting drawings. Exposure on Control and protection, review of schematics for EHV, MV & LV systems. Exposure to Load flow, Short circuit, Largest Motor starting studies using ETAP. Estimation of BOQs for cabling, earthing, lightning & lighting systems. Exposure to relay setting and co-ordination Inspection services for major electrical equipment (Optional) Familiarity in ETAP, DIALux, AutoGrid Pro, etc. Familiarity in 3D Engineering tools Aveva E3D, Hexagon Smart 3D, Navisworks Qualification • Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline • Registration as a professional engineer with the governing authority (preferable) Key Responsibilities 1.Ensure the scope of work is developed and effective change management system is in place 2. Provide input into the monthly progress report with respect to design progress and issues of concern and recommended changes if required to achieve overall objectives 3. Contribute to the development of the project execution plan together with the project leadership team and allocate roles and responsibilities 4. Make Contact with client management at key milestones / tollgates throughout project to ensure that engineering deliverables are meeting client requirements. 5. Direct and review the engineering activities to ensure that the work quality is satisfactory and appropriate technical personnel development programs are conducted 6. Involve specialist expertise from within TCE or externally as necessary. work with Technology Organization and DHs for mandatory reviews 7. Raise safety awareness and ensure the design for safety principles are applied to the projects 8. Ensure Engineering risk assessments are carried out and all identified issues are addressed 9. Arrange and facilitate design reviews and participate as required in engineering and management reviews 10. Co-ordinate quality audit verifications to ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all design activities. Instigate corrective actions as required. 11.
