Collaborate with recruiters to ensure seamless delivery and client success . Develop sales playbooks, pricing strategies, and growth partnerships. Senior Python Engineer (Architect Level) Key Job Functions of this Job Team Leadership and Mentorship Lead a small team of backend engineers by setting clear expectations and technical direction. Define and enforce coding standards, documentation quality, and delivery best practices. Conduct code reviews that focus on both quality and learning. Coach engineers to think architecturally and grow into stronger problem solvers. Build an environment where developers are confident, eUicient, and aligned with product goals. Architecture and System Design Lead the modernization of Avaanas existing Python monolith into a modular, scalable system. Make architecture decisions across APIs, data models, and infrastructure with focus on performance, maintainability, and reliability. Ensure that design choices support long-term scalability without overengineering. Drive system-level improvements for speed, concurrency, and uptime. Code Quality and Technical Excellence Build, enforce, and continuously improve coding and design standards. Own CI/CD, code review culture, and testing strategy. Ensure the platform is observable, secure, and compliant with healthcare data regulations (PHI/PII). Promote clarity, consistency, and clean architecture in every layer of the stack. Communication and Cross-Team Collaboration Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to turn business goals into technical plans. Represent Avaana in technical discussions with external partners, vendors, or clients when needed. Clearly explain technical choices and trade-oUs to non-technical teams and stakeholders. Build strong working relationships across all parts of the business. Product Ownership and Hands-On Support Be deeply connected to the product, understand what were building and why. Jump in to solve technical issues when needed and support developers in delivery. Balance being hands-on with empowering others to own their work. What You Need to Have to get shortlisted 10 + years of backend experience, including 6 plus years in production-grade Python. Proven leadership in managing or guiding small engineering teams. Experience modernizing or scaling backend systems in a product environment. Strong knowledge of API design, database modelling, and performance tuning. Familiar with AWS or GCP, Docker, Terraform, and observability tools. Excellent communication skills both technical and interpersonal. Experience representing engineering decisions in cross-functional or external meetings.
