Systems Development Engineer 2

As a Systems Development Engineer at Dell Technologies, you will have the opportunity to work on highly complex customer system requirements by combining hardware and software systems design. Operating at the forefront of technology, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing electronic and electro-mechanical products. Your responsibilities will include conducting feasibility studies on engineering proposals, preparing installation, operation, and maintenance specifications and instructions, and ensuring the delivery of programs and products to the highest quality standards, within budget, and on time. Based in Bangalore, India, as part of the Custom Design Group, you will collaborate with the engineering lead to create and execute development plans that align with customers" unique solutions based on the standard Dell portfolio of products. Your role will involve delivering system interfaces, preparing documentation for inspection and testing procedures, designing and implementing cost-effective testing methods, and developing diagnostic programs and test fixtures for new products. To excel in this role, you should have 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in hardware validation and end-to-end server handling, covering bring-up, diagnostics, and deployment. Your expertise should include configuring and validating diverse server setups, validating server components, and maintaining detailed test plans and failure analysis reports. Additionally, you should be experienced in firmware and BIOS updates, system diagnostics, stress testing, and OS installation. A Bachelor's Engineering Degree with 3 to 5 years of related experience is desirable, along with experience in developing automated test frameworks and driving process improvements to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and product reliability.
