Roles & Responsibilities of Hostel In-Charge1. Student Care & Discipline Ensure students follow daily routines (wake-up, prayers, meals, study hours, sports, bedtime). Maintain discipline, punctuality, and proper behavior in hostel premises. Address student grievances with empathy while upholding Gurukul values. Guide students on personal hygiene, manners, and moral living. 2. Safety & Security Supervise entry/exit of students to prevent unauthorized movements. Maintain an updated record of student attendance (day/night). Ensure emergency protocols (fire safety, first aid, medical support). Coordinate with security staff for round-the-clock vigilance. 3. Academic & Co-curricular Support Motivate students to complete homework and assist during study hours. Encourage participation in cultural, spiritual, and physical activities. Monitor student progress and report concerns to teachers/management. 4. Hostel Administration Oversee hostel cleanliness, hygiene, and discipline in dormitories, bathrooms, and dining hall. Ensure proper use and care of hostel property (furniture, lights, fans, water, etc.). Maintain records (student register, leave register, visitors log). Report maintenance issues (plumbing, electrical, etc.) to management promptly. 5. Food & Health Management Supervise kitchen and dining area during meal times. Ensure students receive nutritious, hygienic, and timely meals. Monitor sick students, arrange medical care, and inform parents when required. Maintain a first-aid kit and basic medicines. 6. Value-based Guidance Promote Gurukul values—discipline, spirituality, and service-mindedness. Motivate students with positive counseling and character-building talks. Support Swamijis in organizing spiritual activities (prayers, kirtans, discourses). 7. Parent & Management Coordination Communicate regularly with parents about student discipline, health, and progress. Submit periodic reports to Principal/Head regarding hostel functioning. Act as a bridge between students, parents, and Gurukul administration. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month Benefits: Food provided Health insurance Work Location: In person
