Surface Modelling Consultant (Rhino/Blender)

As a Consultant in Smooth Form Modelling, you will play a crucial role in developing high-quality, production-ready organic and freeform surfaces. We are looking for a seasoned professional with expertise in Rhino (preferably SubD workflows) and/or Blender, focusing on clean topology and smooth surface control. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with our design and engineering teams to translate sketches and concepts into smooth, manufacturable 3D forms. You will also provide guidance on SubD modelling best practices, NURBS surface continuity (G2/G3), and topology optimization. Additionally, you will assist in establishing workflows between Blender, Rhino, and Solidworks, ensuring efficient file transfer, conversion strategies, and clean-up techniques. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level proficiency in either Rhino or Blender, with a strong background in industrial design, consumer product design, or furniture/soft goods modelling. A deep understanding of surface continuity, smooth transitions, and curvature control is essential, along with experience in design for manufacturing processes. Your ability to work collaboratively and coach internal teams will be key to your success in this role.
