Roles and Responsibilities Daily Tasks: Carry out basic repair work like fixing lights, leaks, ACs, furniture, or painting. Quickly respond to any maintenance problems or service requests. Preventive Maintenance: Follow a set schedule to check and service electrical items, fire safety systems, water tanks, air conditioners, and kitchen equipment before problems happen. Keep proper records of all maintenance and repair work done. Vendor & Inventory Handling: Call and coordinate with outside technicians or contractors for work that needs special skills. Keep track of all tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials. Make sure any needed parts are bought on time and within the given budget. Safety & Cleanliness: Ensure that the hostel follows cleanliness, safety and security rules. Assist in periodic drills or inspections related to fire safety, security and overall property hygiene.
