Store Keeper

A storekeeper in the metal packing industry manages the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, finished goods, and other supplies, ensuring accurate inventory records and compliance with safety regulations. Key responsibilities include maintaining stock levels, organizing the store, inspecting and documenting incoming shipments, conducting inventory counts, issuing materials for production, and coordinating with suppliers and the production team. Receiving and Inspection

• Receive shipments: Accept deliveries from suppliers, verifying that the received items match the order and purchase documents.
• Inspect goods: Check incoming materials, including metal components, for accurate quantity, quality, and any signs of damage or defects.
• Document transactions: Create and maintain detailed records of incoming goods, such as material received reports (MRR).

Storage and Organization

• Organize storage: Arrange and store materials, such as metal sheets or packaging components, in designated locations within the warehouse to optimize space and ensure easy accessibility.
• Maintain stock records: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all items in stock, including quantities, locations, and any relevant details like lot numbers.
• Implement FIFO: Ensure materials are stored and issued using the First-In, First-Out method to prevent spoilage or obsolescence of older stock.

Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels: Track inventory levels to identify when materials are running low and initiate purchase requisitions.
• Conduct counts: Perform regular physical inventory counts and perpetual inventories to reconcile physical stock with recorded balances and identify any discrepancies.
• Report discrepancies: Report any issues, such as discrepancies or excess quantities, to management for investigation and resolution.

Issuance and Dispatch

• Issue materials: Provide raw materials or components to the production or assembly lines based on material usage plans and authorizations.
• Coordinate with production: Work closely with the production planning and control (PPC) and production teams to ensure a steady flow of necessary materials to prevent production delays.
• Pack for dispatch: Pack finished metal products or components for shipping to customers, ensuring correct labelling and documentation.

Qualification Required - Any graduates with 3+ yrs experience in Engineering Industry.

• Ensure safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and implementing safety procedures.
• Adhere to policies: Ensure all storage and handling procedures comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
