Storage Backup SME

You will be responsible for designing end-to-end storage, backup, and disaster recovery architectures across on-premises and Azure environments. This includes architecting scalable, secure, and highly available Azure IaaS/PaaS storage solutions such as Blob, Files, Disks, and Archive. You will need to define best practices, high-level and low-level designs (HLDs, LLDs), standards, and policies for storage and backup. Additionally, you will lead infrastructure and cloud migration projects involving storage/backup and enforce architectural standards, operational procedures, and automation-first principles. Your role will also involve implementing and managing automation processes around scaling, backups, disaster recovery, patching, and compliance. Furthermore, you will serve as the highest-level technical escalation point (L4) for complex issues related to storage, backup, and Azure infrastructure. You will lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical incidents, mentor and support L1-L3 engineers, and collaborate with application, cybersecurity, and cloud architects to align infrastructure with business requirements. Lastly, you will evaluate new technologies and propose improvements to optimize cost and performance.
