• Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout, dimensions, and materials required.
• Cutting and shaping metal pieces using shears, plasma cutters, torches, and other metal-shaping tools.
• Assembling and welding metal components to form structures such as beams, columns, and frames.
• Inspecting fabricated components to ensure that they conform to specifications and are free from defects.
• Applying protective finishes to metal pieces such as paint or sealants to prevent rust and degradation.
• Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues and adjust fabrication methods as needed.
• Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Measuring and marking dimensions on metal stocks for cutting and shaping purposes.
• Verifying alignment and dimensions of product parts and adhering to specifications by employing measuring instruments like calipers and rulers.
• Clamping, holding, tack-welding, grind-riveting, and bolting component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
