Staff Technical Manager

As a Staff Technical Manager-SAP at smartShift in Bangalore, India, you will play a crucial role in driving the transformation of SAP systems to next-generation cloud computing environments. With strong knowledge of SAP systems and several years of managerial experience, you will oversee various details of projects simultaneously. Your primary responsibility will be to project manage SAP projects with a focus on customer-supplier relationships and overseeing system changes. You will collaborate with Functional teams, legacy/existing system owners, and technical architects to ensure timely delivery of solutions and address any issues or risks that may arise. Additionally, you will work closely with third-party vendors, test teams, and business system owners to facilitate seamless integration and system changes. Your expertise in ERP SAP business solutions and experience in overseeing Project Managers from third-party vendors will be invaluable in this role. To excel in this position, you must have excellent client-facing and relationship management skills. A certification such as PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent, along with knowledge of the SFIA framework, is preferred. Experience with S4/Hana projects is desirable. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project plans, tracking delivery progress, and providing regular reports on status and progress. In terms of skills and experience, you should have expertise in RICEFW developments, proficiency in the ABAP development environment, and experience in developing using best practices. Exposure to SAP HANA and S4 HANA projects is preferred, and familiarity with Agile Methodology will be beneficial. A minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP project management is required for this role.
