Staff nurse

Staff Nurse specialized care to critically ill or injured patients, monitoring their condition, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. They also play a crucial role in providing emotional support to patients and their families during stressful times. Key Responsibilities of an ICU Staff Nurse:

• Patient Monitoring and Assessment:ICU nurses continuously monitor patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation, and assess their overall condition, including neurological status and fluid balance.
• Medication Administration:They administer prescribed medications, including intravenous fluids and medications, and monitor for any adverse reactions.
• Treatment and Procedures:ICU nurses assist physicians with various procedures, such as intubation, central line insertion, and mechanical ventilation, and perform tasks like wound care and catheter care.
• Equipment Management:They are responsible for operating and maintaining various specialized ICU equipment, such as ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps.
• Documentation and Reporting:ICU nurses meticulously document patient care, including vital signs, medications, treatments, and any changes in the patient's condition, and communicate this information to the rest of the healthcare team.
• Patient and Family Support:They provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, explaining medical procedures and answering their questions.
