Job Description

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and hospital policies. The role involves assisting doctors, monitoring patient health, administering medications, and ensuring a safe and clean healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing services.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergencies.
Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed at all times.
Handle medical equipment safely and report any malfunction immediately.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the ward/unit.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient care.
Participate in training programs and staff development activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
Registered Nurse (RN) with the State Nursing Council.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience (freshers may also apply depending on hospital policy).
Good communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
