Staff Machine Learning Engineer- GenAI

Key Responsibilities: - Architect and design large-scale inference, recommendation, and interactive agent systems that are self-learning. - Work on designing large language model-based agent systems and deep learning generative models for eCommerce scenarios. - Train foundational models and develop learning systems, defining processes and experiments for an E2E foundation model. - Collaborate with cross-team members to align foundational models with the company's overall AI strategy. - Mentor team members on LLMs, RAGs, semantic web, and reinforcement learning methodologies. - Ensure model training is security and compliance aware. - Build E2E AI pipelines for storing and servicing foundational models. Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of software engineering experience. - 3+ years of experience building large-scale foundational models for eCommerce scenarios. - Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field. - Expertise in fine-tuning and deploying large language models, with a strong background in transformer architectures. - Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Spark, and BigQuery. - Understanding of RAG and its limitations in multi-modal knowledge retrieval. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with inference platforms in AWS, Azure, and other open-source platforms. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as teamwork abilities. - Hands-on experience with Large language models, NLP, and Machine Learning at scale.
