Staff Engineer, XR System Validation

As an XR Testing Engineer at Qualcomm XR Research, your role will involve ensuring the quality and performance of XR systems through comprehensive testing and analysis. You will be responsible for developing and implementing test automation strategies, monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conducting User Experience (UX) testing, performing anchor testing, and generating detailed reports on testing outcomes. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders to discuss testing requirements and results. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and implement test automation strategies for XR systems. - Create and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for various testing processes. - Conduct User Experience (UX) testing to ensure optimal user interaction with XR systems. - Perform anchor testing and develop anchor KPIs to measure system stability and accuracy. - Generate detailed reports on testing outcomes and present findings to stakeholders. - Collaborate with stakeholders to discuss testing requirements, progress, and results. **Required Qualifications:** - Experience in testing XR/SLAM/VIO systems with familiarity in test automation tools and frameworks. - Knowledge of KPI development, UX testing focused on XR devices, and computer vision systems in XR. - Strong mathematical and analytical skills. - Exposure to multi-sensor data fusion techniques and their implementation. - Strong communication skills for effective discussions with stakeholders. **Education And Experience:** - Required: Bachelors in computer science or electrical & computer engineering with at least 7+ years of relevant experience. - Preferred: Masters in computer science or electrical & computer engineering with at least 6+ years of relevant experience.
