Job Description

As a QA engineer at Nutanix, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the automation framework and building an automated regression test library for our Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery products. Your focus will be on increasing Dev and QA productivity by automating a wide range of complex manual tests. You will lead the quality assurance efforts, conduct requirement and design reviews, and design high-level test approaches while implementing detailed test plans. The DR&Backup QA team is dedicated to test planning, scenario design, and test case development to ensure the overall quality of our products. You will contribute to product design decisions, promote a quality-first mindset, and automate tests that replicate customer environments for performance and scalability validation. Your responsibilities will include debugging complex product issues, continuously improving test efficiency and strategies, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks. To excel in this role, you should hold a BE or MS in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience. Previous experience in a QA leader role, especially in Storage/Backup and Disaster Recovery domains, is essential. You should have expertise in leading technical QA teams for distributed systems, designing complex test and automation plans, and hands-on experience with Python automation development. Knowledge of Core Storage, Virtualization, File Systems, Disaster Recovery & Backup, and Linux Systems is highly desirable. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to benefit from both remote work and in-person collaboration. While most roles require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, specific teams may have different requirements. Effective communication and collaboration skills are crucial for interacting with development, product management, and cross-functional teams to ensure the overall health of the features you own.,
