Job Description

1.) Responsible and accountable to be a role model to young minds in formative years.

Aware that young minds learn thru observation, and consciously conducts self to bear a

positive influence on children.

Stays positive and always carries a smile.

Is firm but respectful and uses polite language and etiquette.

Prepares well for the lesson plans for every period.

Is well on time in the class and completes all student related tasks on time.

Is not afraid to accept a mistake and correct self.

2.) Responsible to be familiar with and adapt to the holistic learning methodology

followed at Oakridge Schools.

To internalize the methodology of “learning thru activity, experience, and inquiry”,

rather than, rote and submissive learning.

To normalize to the concept that “learning can be fun” rather than an effort.

3.) Responsible to be familiar with the pedagogy /methodology recommended.

Be familiar with the pedagogy for CBSE & CAMBRIDGE segment as recommended by the

board.

Study the subject lesson plan for the grade drafted and published (on-line).

Get familiar with the breakdown of subject for a grade into topics, topic into lesson plans,

and each lesson plan into clearly defined activities, references, resources, vocabulary,

assessments, and outcomes.

4.) Responsible to make tactical adjustments in class to ensure that the entire class

progresses in the process of learning.

Conducts pre-assessment of children in the sections and has a clear mapping of (i) Slow

learners (ii) Average Learners (iii) High Performers.

Forms cluster seating groups / project groups / Buddy pairing in the class, with a

healthy mix of all categories of students. This helps high performer students to reinforce

their learning by teaching another student, and at the same time, helps the slow learners

to learn from a fellow student.

Facilitates remedial action for slow learners by conducting additional sessions of the

subject, during certain activity periods.

Facilitates differential learning. Challenges the abilities of high performers by assigning additional enrichment worksheets and creative writing tasks to them
