SSE, TL and STL

As a Networking / Software Development professional in Chennai/Bangalore, you will be responsible for designing and developing L2/L3 network protocol features such as VLAN, STP, ARP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, IP, ICMP, MPLS, etc. Your expertise in implementing scalable, high-performance networking software using languages like C/C++ will be crucial. Collaborating closely with hardware and software teams, you will integrate and test networking protocols while analyzing and resolving protocol-related issues and performance bottlenecks. Developing unit and integration tests will be essential to ensure the correctness and robustness of implementations. Your role will involve contributing to architecture discussions, participating in protocol design reviews, and collaborating with QA, DevOps, and product teams to facilitate successful product delivery. Staying updated with emerging networking technologies and standards will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A solid understanding of computer networking principles, especially at Layers 2 and 3 of the OSI model, is required. Hands-on experience with L2/L3 protocols like Ethernet, IP, BGP, OSPF, LACP, etc., is essential. Proficiency in C/C++ with experience in multi-threaded or real-time systems is expected. Experience with network device SDKs such as Broadcom, Marvell, etc., will be advantageous. Familiarity with the Linux networking stack and kernel modules is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment are crucial for success in this role.,
