Sr Tester

As a Sr Tester at NTT DATA, you will be responsible for the following: - Understanding the functional requirements for data migration and integration projects, and performing traceability and gap analysis. - Defining the overall test strategy, designing test plans, and creating detailed test cases and scripts based on functional and technical specifications. - Validating and manipulating test data to meet specific testing requirements. - Executing manual or automated test cases to validate the ETL process, including verifying data integrity, accuracy, and completeness. - Implementing and executing regression test suites to ensure that new code or changes do not negatively impact existing functionality. - Diagnosing problems, reporting defects with clear and detailed documentation, and tracking them through resolution. - Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and data architects, to understand data flows and resolve issues. - Communicating test progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders. Qualifications required for this role include: - 8+ years of ETL expertise with a solid understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing principles. - 5+ years of Informatica proficiency, hands-on experience with Informatica tools such as PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud (IICS), or Informatica Data Quality (IDQ). - 5+ years of strong SQL skills, with the ability to write and debug complex SQL queries for data validation and extraction. - 2+ years of experience with programming/scripting languages like Python, often required for test automation.
