Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities. Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Oversee inventory management, including ordering and maintaining stock levels of food and kitchen supplies. Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness. Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. Ensure that all staff adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and update menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Assist in the creation of new dishes and the refinement of existing recipes. Ensure that menu items are cost-effective and align with budgetary constraints. Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Enforce adherence to food safety and sanitation standards in all kitchen operations. Address and resolve any issues related to food quality, presentation, or customer satisfaction. Assist in managing kitchen schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak and off-peak times.
