Sr Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst

Role Overview: Dexcom Corporation is seeking a Sr. SOC Analyst to join their Security Operations Center (SOC) team. As a Sr. SOC Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security events, investigating threats, responding to incidents, and contributing to the development of threat detection rules using SIEM and SOAR technologies. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization by leveraging your expertise in threat hunting, incident response, and automation of SOAR playbooks. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and analyze security events utilizing SIEM and SOAR technologies. - Identify and investigate threats through threat hunting techniques. - Respond to security incidents and take necessary actions to mitigate risks. - Develop and maintain threat detection rules. - Automate SOAR playbooks to enhance incident response efficiency. - Collaborate with the SOC team to ensure effective security operations. - Stay informed about the latest security threats and trends. - Participate in an on-call rotation and act as an escalation point for Tier 1 SOC. - Assist in the expansion of SIEM and SOAR tools. Qualifications Required: - Strong understanding of threat hunting techniques and incident response procedures. - Experience in developing and maintaining threat detection rules. - Proficiency in automating SOAR playbooks. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: - Hold a CISSP, GCIH, or other relevant security certification. - Previous experience in a SOC environment. - Familiarity with cloud security technologies. - Experience with containers for SOC response.
