Sr Quality Assurance

Role Overview: As a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at Syniverse, you will be responsible for designing and developing the QA management systems and tools of the organization. Your role involves defining test requirements, automating test procedures, and ensuring an exceptional user experience for Syniverse's customers. You will conduct tests before product launches to guarantee smooth software operation and meet client needs in a cost-effective manner. Key Responsibilities: - Verify component, system integration, and application level features and functionality to uphold reliability, accuracy, and performance standards for quality. - Verify, deploy, and maintain automated test cases to enhance product quality. - Contribute to existing tools, frameworks, and related solutions to improve overall platform and application quality. - Assist in planning, organizing, executing, and delivering the team's test effort. - Develop effective test strategies and work with team members to prioritize testing in the software development life cycle (SDLC). - Drive adoption of unit/integration/system testing using tools like Cucumber, Selenium, and metrics for code coverage and bug prevention. - Collaborate with Software Developers, Product Managers, and Test Engineers to automate system components. - Plan, design, develop, verify, deploy, and maintain automated test cases. - Increase and enhance automated test coverage using new open-source solutions. - Write moderately complex code for testing systems. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. - 5 years of experience using test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, FitNesse, TestNG, and Selenium. - 5 years of experience with Source Code Management tools like CVS, Git, or SubVersion. - 3+ years of experience writing tests in Java and/or JUnit development. - Ability to work independently and within a team. - Good written and oral communication skills. - Working knowledge of SQL. - Demonstrated ability to create sustainable and extensive application automation test suites. - Attention to process gaps and a continuous improvement mindset.
