As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, your role will involve designing, developing, creating, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs. Your contributions will be instrumental in launching cutting-edge, world-class products that not only meet but exceed customer needs. Collaboration with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams will be key in designing system-level software solutions and obtaining essential information on performance requirements and interfaces. To be considered for this position, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field along with a minimum of 3 years of Software Engineering or related work experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience or a PhD with 1+ year of experience can also be considered. Additionally, you should have at least 2 years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python. Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 6+ years of Software Engineering experience. Proficiency in Database Management Software, API, and work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System are also desirable. As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include leveraging your software knowledge and experience to design, develop, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software and applications. You will analyze user needs and software requirements to customize software for optimal operational efficiency, design and implement software modules for products and systems, and participate in coding, testing, debugging, and integration efforts to ensure project completion according to specifications and schedules. Collaboration with internal and external teams will be essential in achieving project objectives. In this role, you will work independently with minimal supervision, and your decision-making may have an impact beyond your immediate work group. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to convey information effectively, and basic negotiation and influence skills may also be necessary. The tasks you undertake will require planning, problem-solving, and prioritization to be completed effectively.
