Sr Engineer - Firmware development

As a Software Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, creating, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs. Collaborating with various teams including systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers, you will contribute to the design of system-level software solutions that meet and exceed customer needs. Your responsibilities will include: - Applying Software knowledge and experience to design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs. - Analyzing user needs and software requirements to design and customize software for optimal operational efficiency. - Designing and implementing software modules for products and systems. - Participating in the design, coding for large features, unit testing, significant debugging fixes, and integration efforts to ensure projects are completed to specifications and schedules. - Performing code reviews, regression tests, triaging, and fixing issues to ensure the quality of code. - Collaborating with project teams to accomplish project objectives. - Writing technical documentation for Software projects. Qualifications required for this role are as follows: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience, or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. - 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - Preferred qualifications include Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, 2+ years of experience with Database Management Software, 2+ years of experience with API, and 1+ year of work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System. In this role, you will work under supervision, and your decision-making may affect work beyond the immediate work group. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for conveying information and collaborating with team members. You will be required to engage in planning, problem-solving, and prioritization to effectively complete tasks.
