Sr Engineer - Captive Operations

About The Company

• Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Perform database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities.
• Ensure high availability through technologies such as Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication, and Clustering.
• Monitor database health, storage utilization, and capacity planning.
• Manage database security, user roles, permissions, and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot database-related incidents and performance bottlenecks.
• Execute database maintenance tasks, including index rebuilding, statistics updates, and integrity checks.
• Support application deployments, releases, and database migrations.
• Work closely with development teams to optimize database design and SQL queries.
• Create and maintain database documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
• Participate in on-call support and incident management activities.
  

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Experience in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Backup and Recovery strategies.
• Hands-on experience with:
• SQL Server Agent
• SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
• Database Mirroring
• Replication
• Always On Availability Groups
• Log Shipping
