Sr Azure PostgreSQL DBA

You are a skilled Azure PostgreSQL Database Administrator with 5-8 years of experience, ready to support a banking data warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include optimizing database health, security, and performance in a collaborative global team setting. Your main duties will involve deploying and fine-tuning Azure PostgreSQL instances, implementing scalable database structures, and planning migrations. You will be responsible for monitoring and enhancing query performance, defining disaster recovery strategies, and ensuring access control, encryption, and audits for security and compliance. In addition, you will configure and manage read replicas and failover groups for high availability, utilize Azure Monitor and Query Store for proactive health checks, and troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while offering guidance to the team. Maintaining database policies, documenting processes, and sharing best practices will also be crucial aspects of your role.
