Sr. Azure API Engineer

As a Senior Azure API Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level API solutions using Microsoft Azure API Management service. Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring efficient API access, security, scalability, and governance across various applications by defining architectures, policies, and best practices within the Azure API Management platform. - Defining API strategies, standards, and best practices for the organization. - Designing and implementing API gateways using Azure API Management. - Creating and managing API products, including subscription tiers and usage quotas. - Developing and documenting API specifications, including data models, request/response structures, and error-handling mechanisms. - Implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms for APIs using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). Qualifications required for this role: - Minimum 8 years of experience in API development and management. - Proficiency in using Microsoft Azure services, especially Azure API Management. - Strong understanding of API design principles, security, and scalability. - Experience in implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms using Azure Active Directory. - Excellent communication and documentation skills.
