The Role

AI Enabling Lead

You will partner with system architects, firmware developers, validation teams, and other AI/ML experts to ensure AMD's data center platforms deliver secure, scalable, and intelligent solutions. The ideal candidate will bring both technical depth and leadership experience, enabling them to influence roadmaps, mentor teams, and champion AI-driven transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Enablement & Strategy

  : Define the roadmap for AI/ML adoption across firmware development, validation, test, and system design.

• Architectural Leadership:

  Shape AI-enhanced firmware architectures that ensuring scalability

• Cross-functional Leadership

  : Drive collaboration across firmware, silicon design, software, validation, and AI/ML research teams to accelerate adoption and innovation.

• Continuous Improvement

  : Establish metrics and processes that demonstrate AI's impact in improving efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

• AI adoption

  : Serve as a champion for AI adoption, mentoring teams and influencing AMD's position as an industry leader in AI-enabled firmware.

Preferred Experience

• 12+ years in system/firmware architecture, with proven experience in AI/ML integration or enablement.
• Strong background in server and data center architectures, boot flows, secure firmware, and hardware/software interfaces.
• Proficiency in firmware development and familiarity with AI frameworks for enabling solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership in driving organizational change or adoption of new methodologies (AI, automation, etc).
• Experience debugging complex CPU/FW issues, pre/post silicon development, and platform bring-up.
• Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to bridge AI, firmware, and system architecture communities.

Academic Credentials

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced coursework or practical experience in AI/ML preferred.
