Description
As a Sr. Accountant / PTP Lead I at AMETEK, your role involves managing and coordinating General Accounting activities for the US & Europe region. You will handle tasks such as Journals preparation, posting, Bank Reconciliation, Intercompany Accounting, Invoice resolution & follow-up, as well as Financial and Management Reporting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee invoice resolution and follow-up with stakeholders for necessary corrective action. - Perform accounting tasks including Journals entries, Bank Reconciliation, Month-end close activities, and Reporting. - Ensure timely and accurate completion of period end close activities according to agreed timelines. - Resolve period close issues or queries requiring judgement and expertise. - Review and ensure adherence to process controls. - Manage escalations or issues, perform Root cause analysis, and take necessary actions. - Collaborate with other functions as needed. - Lead and manage critical month-end activities. - Support continuous improvement of accounting processes in SSC. - Collaborate closely with country finance team, supporting operations, improvement opportunities, and key projects. - Create backup planning, monitor team performance, provide training, and support to enhance the team's skills and knowledge. - Provide performance feedback and mentoring to team members. - Manage transitions from BU to SSC setup in India, develop DTP / SOP for activities, and highlight delays with solutions to mitigate risks. **Qualifications:** - Masters or Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field. - 7 years of experience in accounting processes. - Good understanding of accounting processes and best practices. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Microsoft Navision. - Attention to detail and problem-solving ability. - Prior transition handling experience is desirable.
