Description
You will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the SQL Server Warehouse, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health, and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of multiple development teams. The data warehouse supports an enterprise application suite of program management tools. You must be capable of working independently and collaboratively. Your main responsibilities will include managing SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. You will troubleshoot issues related to memory-optimized tables in MS SQL Server 2019, configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. You will also apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. Additionally, you will independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing end-to-end problem resolution, and assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data modeling, database & data warehouse management, and performance tuning on Microsoft SQL Server Databases. You should also have at least 3 years of experience with programming and database scripting, as well as experience with clustered configurations, redundancy, backup, and recovery. Good knowledge of SSIS development, T-SQL, Views, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Triggers is required. Experience in AWS and Azure Cloud will be an added advantage.
