Job Title: Spray Painter

Job Summary:
The Spray Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coats of paint or other finishes using spray equipment to achieve a smooth and high-quality finish on surfaces such as metal, wood, or machinery parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
Mix and match paint colors according to required specifications.
Apply primer, paint, varnish, enamel, or other coatings using spray guns and related tools.
Ensure even coating, appropriate thickness, and smooth finishing without drips or blemishes.
Maintain spray guns, compressors, and painting equipment in good working condition.
Inspect finished surfaces for quality and make necessary touch-ups.
Follow all safety protocols related to painting, ventilation, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Keep records of materials used and work completed.
Dispose of hazardous materials safely as per company and government guidelines.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets.
Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of various paints, thinners, and finishes.
Understanding of spray-painting techniques and surface preparation.
Ability to operate spray guns, compressors, and painting booths.
Attention to detail and strong sense of quality control.
Basic mechanical skills and equipment handling knowledge.
Awareness of safety standards and environmental regulations.
Qualification & Experience:
Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Painter, Automotive Painting, or relevant trade.
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in industrial, automotive, or fabrication painting.
Preferred: Experience in epoxy, PU, or powder coating applications.
Work Environment:
Workshop or industrial setting.
Requires wearing PPE (mask, gloves, safety suit).
Exposure to paint fumes, dust, and chemicals.
Salary Range:
As per industry standards and experience.
