Spice Simulation/EDA, Automation Engineer, Staff

As a Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be responsible for planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems, circuits, mechanical systems, and various other cutting-edge technologies to launch world-class products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems - Bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment, and packaging - Develop test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance requirements Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience - OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience - OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience In this role, you will be part of the Global Design Enablement team at Qualcomm, focusing on PDK development across Custom, Analog, and RF technology nodes. You will work closely with the Custom, Analog & RF Engineering design community to develop & support customized tools and flows for Schematic & Layout design, Circuit Simulation, IP characterization, Custom/Analog P&R, and transistor-level EM/IR flows. Additionally, you will collaborate with Foundry and EDA partners to deploy best-in-class EDA tools and flows, as well as develop in-house productivity & QoR automation solutions for improving overall design methodology. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or masters in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field - 8+ years of industry experience in spice simulation - Knowledge of Virtuoso suite of tools like Schematic, Layout, Analog Design Environment - Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as SKILL, Python, Perl, and TCL - Good understanding of CMOS fundamentals and Circuit Design Concepts - Strong aptitude for programming and automation - Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with SPICE simulation tools like Hspice, SpectreX/APS, AFS/Solido SPICE, PrimeSim SPICE, ADS, GoldenGate - Experience with Electromagnetic tools such as Peakview and EMX - Knowledge of FinFet & SOI processes is a plus Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
