As a Fashion Designer, your primary responsibility will be to forecast fashion trends for the forthcoming season through market surveys. You must stay updated with the latest fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market developments to ensure that your designs are fresh, relevant, and competitive. You will be tasked with creating detailed sketches and illustrations by hand as well as using Adobe Illustrator for design concepts, incorporating graphics and prints where necessary. Range planning & development, new embroidery concepts development, buyer interactions, buyer presentations, new fabric development, and sourcing prints & fabrics will also fall under your purview. It is crucial that you have the ability to conceptualize designs in line with customer needs, develop prints and embroidery using different techniques, and deliver captivating presentations in front of buyers. Additionally, you should be able to set up a showroom exhibit and arrange it according to client specifications. To excel in this role, you should have a strong proficiency in illustrations and graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. You must possess at least 2-4 years of experience in fashion design, particularly in designing women's woven wear. An excellent understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes is essential. Your communication skills should enable you to effectively convey design ideas and concepts. Being detail-oriented with a strong sense of creativity will be key to your success in this role.,
