Solution/ Technical Architect

Job Description

The Solution Architect will serve as a liaison between our customers, product owners, and development teams. You will gather and analyze business requirements for changes to our core platform spanning data conversions, new interfaces, custom reports, and feature enhancements and translate them into comprehensive technical specifications. These specifications will guide our product owners in creating detailed Jira tickets for implementation by developers. You will also partner closely with QA, support, and customer success teams to ensure that delivered solutions align with client expectations and maintain nGenues high standard of quality. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering & Analysis Participate in workshops, interviews, and technical discovery sessions with business stakeholders (end users, operations, trading, finance, etc.) to understand business objectives and inform architectural decisions. Analyze client-provided documentation, current workflows, and system/data integrations to assess technical implications and identify opportunities for improvement or optimization. Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to validate and refine requirements, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, system capabilities, and project constraints. Provide early input on solution feasibility, scalability, integration approach, and potential technical risks during the planning phase. Technical Specification Development Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs, including data mappings, API/interface specifications, custom reports, and application workflows. Define data validation rules, transformation logic, and performance considerations. Create architecture diagrams (e.g., data flows, integration flows) to document system interactions with the nGenue platform. Solution Governance & Best Practices Enforce adherence to nGenues coding standards, naming conventions, and security guidelines. Review and approve high-level design changes submitted by development teams, ensuring scalability and maintainability. Identify opportunities to standardize integrations, reporting templates, or data conversion routines across multiple clients. Customer Engagement & Support Serve as a trusted advisor during client presentations, solution demos, and go-live readiness calls. Conduct training sessions or create runbooks for customers on new features, data feeds, or reporting tools. Provide timely clarifications on technical specifications during development sprints and UAT cycles. Qualifications and Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Solution Architect/Technical Architect/Pre-Sales Architect role, ideally within enterprise software (SaaS or on-premises) in the energy, utilities, or commodity trading domain. 2+ years of direct experience interacting with offshore development teams and US-based product owners/customers. Demonstrated track record of translating complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications and guiding them through full software development lifecycle (SDLC). Proficiency in requirements modeling and documentation tools (e.g., Lucid chart, Visio, draw.io). Strong understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and data-mapping techniques. Knowledge of cloud deployment models (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps best practices. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
