Job Description – Production Engineer (Engineering/Manufacturing – Solids & Automation Technologies) Job Title: Planning Engineer – Outsourcing (Machining, Laser, Rolling, Bending) Department: Production Planning & Control (PPC) / Project Execution Reporting To: Planning Manager / Operations Head Location: [Insert Location] Job Purpose: To plan and coordinate all outsourced manufacturing activities such as CNC machining, laser cutting, rolling, and bending. Ensure timely job release, vendor allocation, and follow-up for quality and delivery compliance for parts used in the fabrication and assembly of solids handling and automation equipment. Key Responsibilities:1. Job Work Planning · Plan outsourcing activities for machining, laser cutting, plate bending, rolling, and profile cutting based on project timelines. · Prepare and release job orders to vendors with clear scope, drawings, tolerances, and QC checkpoints. · Prioritize jobs based on project delivery commitments and equipment complexity. 2. Vendor Coordination & Follow-up · Allocate work to approved vendors based on capability, lead time, and load. · Regularly follow up with vendors for job progress, delivery dates, and bottlenecks. · Ensure material issue and return documentation is maintained (issue slips, challans, etc.). 3. Drawing & Documentation Control · Coordinate with design team for timely release of manufacturing drawings (DXF, DWG, PDFs). · Ensure vendors receive all relevant technical details, QC specifications, and process requirements. · Communicate revisions or updates promptly to avoid rework or rejection. 4. Quality Coordination · Coordinate with QC for in-process or final inspection at vendor locations. · Track and report non-conformances, rework jobs, and late deliveries. · Ensure vendors comply with dimensional tolerances, edge quality, and bend radii as per drawing. 5. Tracking & Reporting · Maintain job-wise tracking sheet with job work status, delivery dates, and delays. · Update internal teams (planning, production, projects) on outsourced work progress. · Flag delays or vendor performance issues for escalation and alternate planning. 6. Vendor Development & Process Improvement · Identify new vendors and support in capability evaluation and onboarding. · Suggest process improvements for reducing turnaround time or improving output quality. · Support digitalization of job work planning and tracking through ERP or Excel automation. Key Skills & Competencies: · Strong understanding of machining, laser cutting, bending, rolling, and fabrication processes. · Ability to read and interpret engineering and CNC/laser drawings. · Experience with vendor management, material movement tracking, and follow-up. · Proficient in Excel, planning tools, and ERP systems. · Strong coordination, documentation, and communication skills. Qualifications & Experience: · Education: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Production Engineering · Experience: 3–6 years in production or planning role with hands-on experience in outsourcing engineering job work. Working Conditions: · Factory-office based role with frequent visits to local vendors/workshops. · Close coordination with design, QC, stores, and purchase teams. · Physical handling of job cards, drawings, and sample inspections may be required. The Senior Executive – Office & Works Administration will be responsible for end-to-end management of office and works administrative functions. The role involves overseeing housekeeping, pantry, gardening, company assets (including bus, commercial vehicles, and solar system), repairs and maintenance, consumables management, and expense tracking. The incumbent must be self-motivated, agile, and capable of independently handling day-to-day administrative operations with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities1. Housekeeping & Facility Management Manage housekeeping services for office and factory premises. Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with company standards. Coordinate housekeeping staff and vendors; monitor performance and attendance. 2. Pantry & Consumables Management Oversee pantry operations including supplies, vendors, and hygiene. Procure and manage consumables for pantry and housekeeping. Ensure uninterrupted availability of required materials within approved budgets. 3. Asset Management Manage and maintain company assets including: Company bus and commercial vehicles Solar power system Office and factory infrastructure assets Maintain asset registers and service schedules. Coordinate repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance. 4. Repairs & Maintenance Handle day-to-day repair and maintenance activities for office and works facilities.
