Software Senior Principal Engineer

As a Software Senior Principal Engineer on the CTO Storage Team in Bangalore at Dell Technologies, you will play a vital role in shaping ground-breaking Storage products and technologies. Your responsibilities will involve developing Storage technology and product strategies, leading technology investigations, and collaborating with various teams to ensure that Dell's products remain innovative and competitive. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop innovative ideas for Dells storage solutions, staying current with advancements in AI infrastructure, workload orchestration, MLOps platforms, and GenAI applications. - Architect detailed product designs, specifying functionality, performance, integrations, and hardware requirements. - Lead prototyping and testing to validate design and functionality, with a focus on performance and scalability. - Refine designs based on feedback, testing, and evolving requirements. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, partners, and customers to create POCs and MVPs, ensuring seamless integration of components and technologies. **Qualifications Required:** - 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelors degree; or 8+ years with a Masters degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience. - Proficiency in AI-driven operations, telemetry systems, data integration, transformation, and storage connectivity and protocols. - Strong development/programming experience in embedded C/Python with Linux OS. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the agility to adapt to technologies and processes quickly. **Desirable Qualifications:** - Possession of advanced certifications or publications in Storage Software Solutions, AI, deep learning, or related fields. - Experience with the Linux community to evangelize and support Storage Performance Development Kit (SPDK) activities.
