Software Engineer

At WhoFi, our mission is to help community spaces continue to thrive in a digital economy. We partner with libraries and other community organizations to simplify daily operations, streamline data collection and reporting, and provide the tools they need to better serve their communities.

WhoFi is a US-based company with a subsidiary in Hyderabad, India. This position is based in our Hyderabad office, which operates from a coworking space, and works closely with our US team.

The Software Engineer role creates and enhances technology that directly affects how our customers improve their communities.

This is a full time, Monday - Friday position with benefits:

Working hours are 1pm-9pm, after hours remote meetings required as well

As a Software Engineer you will:

• Own features from understanding requirements through development, testing, release, and support.
• Deliver and support software into the production environment in a timely and robust manner
• Develop and improve applications using PHP, CodeIgniter, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, C#, or other languages as needed.
• Collaborate with product and support teams to translate client needs into reliable features and an intuitive user experience.
• Diagnose production issues, optimize database queries, and improve application performance.
• Build and maintain third-party integrations and support our AWS environment.
• Make practical technical decisions, communicate risks early, and take responsibility for delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree is a must
• Experience with PHP, MySQL, AWS, C# is a must
• Hands-on production experience with React.js and Node.js, including building user interfaces, backend services, and REST APIs is a plus
• Ability to work across coding languages
• Incredible attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills is a must
• Must be a team player
• Results oriented
• 5 years relevant work experience

Pay: ₹2,200,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
