Software Engineer - Unreal Engine

As a Software Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in the development of simulation environments and gamification of virtual training for surgery. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the development of simulation environments and gamification of virtual training for surgery. - Designing and implementing well-engineered, reliable, maintainable, and bug-free code to support live service operations and updates. - Collaborating with team members to maintain and optimize gameplay systems. - Following best practices, development processes, and coding standards. - Documenting and peer reviewing technical designs with other software engineers. - Contributing to full-stack software development as and when required. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation modules. - Taking ownership of assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality. - Actively engaging in team discussions to improve processes and workflows. - Ideating and building shaders and solutions for replicating complex tissue simulations. - Leading scoring and benchmarking across multiple medical simulations. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Demonstrated experience with Unreal Engine and VR development. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Ability to work independently and lead the team effectively. - Experience with full-stack development in robotics software. - Experience in medical simulation or healthcare applications (preferred). Additionally, the core skills that will be beneficial for this role are: - Strong understanding of multi-body physics, 3D mathematics, including linear algebra, frames of reference, transformation algebra, matrices, and quaternion math. - Proficiency with Unreal Engine and strong programming skills in C++. - Experience in mesh manipulation and soft body simulation. - Understanding of 3D game and asset development pipeline. - Knowledge of game graphics, texture creation, detailing, basic UI/UX, and game scoring mechanics. - AR/VR/MR development experience, especially with Meta Quest. - Experience in leading a small team. - Strong coding and problem-solving skills, including data structures & algorithms.,
